 Canadian Deputy Ambassador Pays Courtesy Call to Minister

Canadian Deputy Ambassador, paid courtesy call to The Minister for Higher Education Science and Technology, Prof. Margaret Kamar, in her office at Jogoo House B, on May 22, 2012.

During the meeting, the Minister and the Ambassador discussed  areas of collaboration between Kenya and Canada especially  in area of  Higher Education Science and Technology.

The Minister informed the Ambassador that Kenya lacks human resource capacity in the areas of minerals and mining, space science and nuclear energy.

She reiterated that Kenya would appreciate Canada’s help in capacity building in technical and university institutions.

The Minister was accompanied by Higher Education, Science and Technology Secretary, Prof. Harry Kaane, Director of Technical Education, Owate Wambai, Director of Technical Accreditation and Quality Assurance, Richard Gakungu and other senior staff from the Ministry.
